We collect the information you provide when you create an account (name, email, password) and when you use the service (documents, signatures, and recipient details). We also collect technical data such as IP address, device type, and timestamps to secure accounts and generate audit trails.
2. How we use information
We use your information to provide and improve the service, process and seal signed documents, send transactional and account communications, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Document confidentiality
The documents you upload are yours. We access their contents only as needed to provide the service (for example, to render pages and place fields) and to comply with law. Documents are encrypted at rest and in transit.
4. Sharing & disclosure
We share data with the recipients you designate on a document and with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
5. Data retention
We retain completed documents and their audit trails for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal requirements. You can delete documents and request account deletion, subject to legal retention obligations.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@signthedoc.com.
7. Security
We protect your data with 256-bit AES encryption, TLS 1.3 in transit, and SOC 2 Type II controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information and to notify you of any material breach as required by law.
